Business Broadband Dorset
Home / Business Broadband Dorset

Connecting the countryside, one byte at a time.

There are plenty of factors that put us ahead of the competition when it comes to choosing quality business broadband in Dorset. For a start, we don’t think that a business package necessarily requires business-talk. As we offer a complete 24/7 support network, we don’t like the typical cold and distant approach. Quite the opposite in fact. We offer a totally personalised service so you can be sure you’ll always receive the best assistance.

As one of the leading suppliers of business broadband in Dorset, we’re always on hand to help. Especially if you ever encounter any problems with your connections or cabling. As we’re a completely independent operation we’ll always suggest the perfect package to maximise your speed and minimise your spend.

We strive to foster strong working relationships with each and every one of our clients.

From satellite to mobile, to fixed-line broadband, technology’s come a long way. Now, we’re able to offer an extensive range of business broadband to get that high-speed connection to your Dorset premises.

How do we do that?

We’re able to offer four different types of fixed-line broadband technologies.

ADSL Broadband

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line

This form of internet access technology provides a data capability over your existing copper phone line. Because it travels through the Openreach phone line network – which most homes in the UK are already connected to – it’s the most popular type of broadband available. It’s also the cheapest way of getting business broadband in Dorset. However, it doesn’t exactly offer up the highest speeds available to you. In some circumstances, we’ve even seen snails slide faster than that page took to load.

Superfast Fibre Broadband

Very-High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Line – otherwise known as FTTC Line 2

Not only is fibre faster, but it’s also more reliable too. Unlike standard broadband, which is delivered to your home via Openreach’s ageing copper wire telephone network, superfast fibre is delivered – entirely or in part – by fibre optic cables. For most Dorset businesses, it’s available up to 80Mbps, depending on your local cabinet (and whether or not a mole has chewed up your cables).

Ultrafast Fibre Broadband

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) or Fibre to the Home (FTTH)

The next generation of internet access with speeds ranging up to 1Gbps. This is strong, reliable and “superfast broadband” that’s great for browsing, streaming and downloading. To be honest, we’re surprised it hasn’t had a blockbuster release where its hero connects the city and saves the world from boredom.

Ultrafast Fibre Broadband G.Fast

G.Fast, GFast or Ultrafast Fibre

Available to a limited number of homes and businesses in the UK, it offers up speeds up to four times faster than traditional FTTC broadband. That’s like, four snail power! (if they were slapped on rocket powered skates, that is). This VIP service is effectively only available to about 1 million premises. Picture it as the Steve Jobs of broadband. Trillions have flocked to the service but us simple folk are only able to get max speeds of 80mb downloads. Whereas the VIPs are able to potentially get 330mb download speeds.
